FOREST BATHING

About Shinrin Yoku

Shinrin Yoku, or Forest bathing, is a gentle and immersive way to experience yourself in relation to nature. Unlike a hike or nature walk, the emphasis is not on getting somewhere, or acquiring knowledge about the surroundings, but rather to support your awareness to return to your body and your senses in relation to the natural surroundings. This nature-connected journey offers both structure and openness, allowing your unique needs to be met through sensory invitations. Evidence-based, forest bathing has been proven to benefit physical, mental and emotional well-being.

I invite you to celebrate the full moon in community with our tree friends with gentleness and ease at Crosby Farm. Curated and accompanied by a trained Forest Bathing Guide, this 90 minute long experience consists of sensory invitations to bring your awareness into your body and it’s natural connection to nature.

What is included in the 90 minutes:

  • A guided forest bathing journey curated and facilitated by certified Forest Bathing guide, Julia Beasley

  • A group meditation followed by fireside tea and shared reflections on sheepskin rugs

What to expect:

  • The forest bathing practice has a slow immersive pace. It is not a hike or a typical nature walk. It will not be strenuous, but you need to be comfortable walking and sitting on the ground.

  • A session ends with a guided meditation and group reflection while being served handcrafted tea in handmade ceramic tea cups on sheepskin rugs and a fire when possible.
